AI Training for Design Teams

Integrate AI meaningfully into your creative workflows

Our practical training shows design teams in agencies and businesses how to use AI responsibly and productively, from the initial brief through to the finished design.

Between experimentation and production work

Many design teams are already experimenting with ChatGPT, image generators and other AI applications. What works well for individual tasks often does not yet form a coherent end-to-end workflow. Potential is left untapped, and results are not always easy to develop in a deliberate direction.

What does the EU AI Act require from organisations?

Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires organisations to take appropriate measures to ensure that employees using AI systems have a sufficient level of AI literacy. Our training helps you build this capability through practical application. Attendance certificates allow you to document the completed training within your organisation.

Agency and design work raises further questions: which client briefs, unpublished concepts, logos, visual assets or design guidelines may be processed by an AI system? How can confidential content be protected while respecting usage rights, internal policies, the GDPR and the EU AI Act?

Without shared rules and proven methods, teams develop inconsistent ways of working, results become difficult to trace and avoidable security risks emerge. Effective approaches are then hard to establish across the team and integrate into existing creative processes.

From briefing to handoff

Our training reflects the day-to-day workflows of design teams. Using concrete examples, we show how AI can help structure briefs, develop creative directions and copy variants, and evaluate results against defined criteria.

We demonstrate how AI agents can work within design tools such as Figma to create new concepts from clear design direction and develop existing designs with intent. Design teams can take ideas through to a working prototype themselves, while collaborating more closely with development teams to close the gap between design and technical implementation.

The focus is not merely on individual product features, but on working methods that transfer across tools and tasks. Participants learn how to direct AI clearly, develop results step by step and assess their quality critically. We tailor the content and examples to your team’s roles, prior knowledge and existing toolset.

What our training covers

Our training consists of four modules, combining accessible foundations with direct application in the design process. We agree the priorities with you in advance, based on your objectives, team roles, existing tools and participants’ prior knowledge.

  1. Module 1

Generative AI in the design process

How does generative AI work, and where are its strengths and limitations? How can hallucinations be recognised and assessed, and what exactly is an AI agent?

  2. Module 2

Data protection and secure working methods

How can confidential briefs and concepts be handled securely, and how can AI be used in line with client requirements, the GDPR and the EU AI Act?

  3. Module 3

    Tailored

AI as a creative sparring partner

How can ChatGPT and other tools support brief analysis, research, ideation, copywriting, design critique and documentation?

  4. Module 4

    Tailored

    Connected workflows with Figma

How can Codex or Claude Code analyse, modify and develop designs through the Figma MCP server? Practical examples show how these capabilities can be applied in day-to-day work.

Frequently asked questions

Content & requirements

Who is the AI training designed for?

The training is designed for design teams in agencies and businesses. Depending on the focus, this includes creative and art directors, specialists in graphic, brand, UX/UI and product design, as well as colleagues working across copy, strategy and development.

Is any prior knowledge required?

No. Participants do not need previous experience with AI or any technical background. We build on existing knowledge and adapt the depth to participants’ roles and requirements.

Do we need programming skills for Figma MCP?

No. Programming skills are not required to understand MCP servers and create simple prototypes.

How is the content tailored to our design team?

Before the training, we discuss your objectives, design disciplines, typical workflows and the tools already in use. We tailor the examples, exercises and depth accordingly.

Can we bring our own use cases?

Yes. We incorporate approved or anonymised briefs, questions and Figma files from your day-to-day work into modules 3 and 4, allowing the learning to transfer directly to your workflows.

Organisation & format

How long does a training session take?

The duration depends on the content, group size and extent of the practical exercises. Training is generally planned as a half-day or full-day format. A full day is recommended for in-depth work with your own workflows.

Where does the training take place?

Training can take place at your agency or company, in our facilities in Kempten or as an interactive online session. For on-site training, we need a room with a projector or sufficiently large display.

Does each participant need a laptop?

No. Content is presented on a central screen and we work through the practical exercises together. This format keeps everyone on the same path and avoids losing time to device setup, missing access or technical issues.

Do participants receive a certificate?

Yes. Participants receive a certificate of attendance after the training, enabling you to document the completed skills development measure within your organisation.

What kind of AI training does your design team need?

Tell us briefly how your design team works today and what you want to achieve with AI. In an initial conversation, we will establish which workflows, tools and practical examples are most relevant to your team.

It helps if you can share:

  • Your objectives, design disciplines and typical use cases
  • The number, roles and prior experience of participants
  • The AI and design tools you already use
  • Your preferred date, location or format
